for some reason my brain never clicked with the "dueling hypnotists" trope whatsoever. two switches puffing out their chest? nah. on the other hand, it overwhelmingly resounded with the "someone should just give up, submit to the other, and make schemes and plans to surprise them later" formulation.

it's a shame what slop output did to the majority of technical writeups and vulnerability reports. some exemplary blogs break this rule and are consistently high quality.
