Utah has had universal vote-by-mail since 2019, and a recent poll found that 87 percent of Utahns trust that their ballots are counted accurately. But Utah’s governor signed a law this spring that ends this system.
Utah Was a Rare Red State to Champion Mail Voting. That Era Is Ending.
Inspired by the architects of Project 2025, Utah adopted a Republican bill to end universal mail voting and impose new restrictions on absentee ballots.

Forty years ago, 90% of media outlets were spread across 50 companies.

Now, just 5 companies control 90% of the media market.

This consolidation hurts consumers and helps oligarchs. 🧵

This is the way, y’all—we protect each other, and we know it.

The new US National Security Strategy, in its predictable and characteristic ugliness, is a good occasion for Europe to finally let go of the time-consuming transatlantic crisis management efforts and start focusing on a proper and proactive own strategy instead.
Europe Needs A New Strategy Too

Two independent studies found that AI chatbots were better at persuading voters than political ads. The most persuasive bots also lied the most. This is something that humans working in psyops have known for decades. AI is psyops at scale. www.technologyreview.com/2025/12/04/1...

So many problems with this article, but the moment I lost it was when, having talked about the alleged over diagnosis of mental health problems, it then starts going on about ADHD, which isn't a mental health condition.

A massive problem today is the uneven distribution of shame. Some of us are running dedicated on-site shame servers 24/7 while others have no access to shame at all, even though they desperately need it. What we need to do is put shame in the cloud

Anyone noticed how UK media is a lot less obsessed with Farage’s alleged antisemitism than Corbyn’s alleged antisemitism?

Odd that.

Interesting thing to take away here.

BBC asked 5000 doctors to take part in a survey about overdiagnosis of mental health conditions. Only 15% of them responded.

And what do you think the belief will be of that 15% who specifically wanted to respond to a study into overdiagnosis? 🤔

There is some science to this, btw.

Your body can use this form of folate more easily than folic acid (which is synthetic).

Folates help remove homocysteine, an amino acid, from your body.

Elevated levels of homocysteine have been associated with more frequent/severe migraines.

The “immigrants” are people. Our friends, colleagues and family.

And it’s this nation of neighbours that is what makes Britain great.
