The big breakthrough for the long range battery will be in things like regional aircraft and heavy vehicles.

In my regular trips between home at Oberon and the south coast see ist as many EVs on the roads as I do in Sydney. At least 4 locals in Oberon have EVs that I see every weekend. Even thought there is no public charging in town.

A typical day commuting (60km total, double Australian average) in a short range #EV. Average cost is about $1 a day! The EV is a second hand 2019 Nissan LEAF with 220km range when full. Video to long for bluesky (3 mins) vt.tiktok.com/ZSffeDPWG/
