im mostly a relief and intaglio girlie but i was in an art library two weeks back and it made me wanna get into litho again so bad. unfortunately i do not think there are any printmaking studios geared for that around me. sadddddd

hey did u know i love printmaking. it is like slow death every time i create something but i am if nothing else a masochist so it is almost a process custom-made for me.

Had the amazing privilege earlier in the year to watch a lithographic limestone plate be made by one last plate makers in Germany. Each plate is cut and then hammered by hand into shape - and after having a go it's very skilled work. Currently they have no apprentices, so a truly dying art.
