Friend and I are world-building!! These guys are the main species of Rubus. Rubus is a magic hotspot, and the massive wolf-creature trapped under the crust is essentially a giant black hole that pulls in creatures/objects/etc from other realities into Rubus so that it can feast on their magic >:)
