Shiny Slakoth in Pokémon Ruby after 7270 Encounters!

7270 Encounters, Phase 9 for a Dustox, and somehow the second low% encountered while going after one.

I wasn't really sure if i wanted to hunt last night (admittedly a horrible decision, i have 2 seminars i haven't prepared for today), but i got something out of it so :)

Such a lovely shiny, I'm tempted to make a 3rd DTQ to throw it on

PSA for all YouTubers: they've been pushing auto AI language dubs onto channels recently, and for many viewers it's on by default and some can't even turn it off at all.
To disable it for your channel go to YouTube Studio > Settings > Upload Defaults > Advanced Settings

If you are hoarding Pokémon event codes to scalp then please unfollow me. The only excuse to ever get more codes than you need is to give them away for FREE to someone who otherwise couldn't get them. I don't want overinflated narcissistic egos in my circle. Do better

Update: I waited in line anyway just in case the store found their shiny codes. They did. There was a whole pile. I got to the front of the line and the manager took that pile and gave them ALL to some guys who came up on the side and skipped the line I WAS IN FOR FOUR HOURS

imagine making a pokemon as cool as koraidon and then shiny locking it and then making it a limited in person release only in specific countries and also release on the same day as a new tcg set so that all the codes go to scalpers and not fans of the game like how can a company be so out of touch

I will never understand why Gamestop in the US gets a set amount of code cards for these events causing stock issues and reselling.

In the UK and parts of Europe, for these events, the cash registers just print them out from their servers so they don't run out. It's much better.

With the shiny ride Pokémon distribution coming tomorrow, I now have an excuse to play through Scarlet! I still need Koraidon/Raging Bolt/Gouging Fire for my regular Living Dex! In addition, I will be continuing my shiny Fo3 Maushold hunt in this game in the near future!

Yeah my wife is using one on one of her shiny legendaries, and you have a year from when you activate it to get everything done. I don't understand why every cool idea they've had for this game always comes with some strings attached to it

Good thing they have Gold Bottle Caps now, but those are even rarer to get, AND the tasks can take a while 😭 not to mention you only have a year to max out your Pokémon or they're stuck wherever they're at when it ends
