👋 Hi, I’m Soren - the person behind Tabletop Master.

Here I share the journey of building a tool for GMs, the art we may feature, and the sounds I create along the way.

You’ll also find glimpses of my own TTRPG creativity and bits of personal life.

Thanks for being here, it means a lot.
Just letting you know that we are progressing.
Slowly but steady.

I’d actually like to run a pirate campaign at some point, but I have no clue how to do it.

The Cyberpunk 2077 OST is still ONE of the coolest OST´s I have heard.

Composers..
Do you usually work on multiple tracks at once, or focus on finishing one before starting the next?

Combat isn’t just combat in TTRPGs.
The music and ambience should fit the environment to create real immersion.

This is becoming one of the hardest things when commissioning someone:
Validating they don't use AI in their piece whether it being illustrations or music.

Sometimes the best ambience in a TTRPG game session is one that barely says anything. 🤫

The world will soon be split between real creatives and AI. My two cents.
No Gen AI in creative fields. Especially not #ttrpg

Part of building Tabletop Master isn’t just sounds and scenes.
It’s making sure artists get paid and attributed fairly.

Not flashy news, but important..

Do you ever intentionally cut the music in your sessions?
If you want to get the most out of using music at the table, you should.

For those wondering if the molotov cocktail in D&D actually fit the era.
Recipe: flask of oil, a rag, and a flame source

The flask is clay: Easy find
Oil: Crude oil was practically used 1000´s of years ago.
Rag: Easy
Flamable source: Check

Planning a D&D session is tough.
Planning one for a table of neurodivergent players?
That’s a whole other level, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Important. Even when you grow.
Please keep supporting indie ttrpgs. It’s more important now than ever!
Play something new, gift them to friends and family, share your favourites on socials, rate and review on @itch.io.

Thank you!

@production-expert.com has a solid article on loudness standards across streaming services.

I aim to have a standard on my own platform, but keeping it consistent is time-consuming.

From experience I’ll never run a campaign with 8 players again.
6 is my max (with one occasional guest), and 5 is the sweet spot.
TTRPG Question of the Day

What's the most amount of players you have had at the table at one time?

I've asked what the ideal number of players is before, but now I'm talking max capacity. At what number do you think it starts negatively impacting the game? Is this number different for GMing?

You can still make it!
We have now hit £600!!!

Meaning all supporters get a celestial inspired subclass!

But there's still more than 24 hours to support the Kickstarter! Meaning you still have time to support and push for a friendly Celestial NPC.
