An aspiring writer and hedonist whose love of treats, politics, and everything Marvel and DC consumes a good portion of my waking moments, few as they are. A friend to corgis.
The person has survived the grocery store. It’s a madhouse. 🦃

In a stroke of true genius (not) DFW decided to live rideshare pick up from arrivals where it makes sense to departures. People then have to drag a number of bags to ONE elevator. It’s like the airport doesn’t want people to travel.

Mexico City airport is usually a chaotic place. It is complete madness. If you are elderly, disabled or have any issues getting around, cancel your travel plans now. After years of neglect by Morena’s AMLO, they gov decided it would do to have a shabby airport for the Wirld Cup. 1/

This is just one example of many of how Trump’s and RFK’s HHS policies are affecting people. And just like he is murdering people at sea, they are condemning people to death here every day because of ego and misinformation. There is a special hell for them both. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...
A Battle with My Blood
When I was diagnosed with leukemia, my first thought was that this couldn’t be happening to me, to my family.

The person while doing person things is having lunch on native lunch time and listening to what has to be the most vapid conversation ever. This is the type of conversation that reminds her why she likes cats and dogs. Sigh.

I’m sure someone has shared this, but it’s so depressing. Since Trump gained prominence, women’s rights have taken so many steps back. www.theatlantic.com/culture/2025...

Once again getting cozy with the blanket even though it was 87 out today.

Of all the surprising things to come out of all of this, this is pretty jaw dropping. She voted for Trump?
“You are our president. Please start acting like it. Show some class. Show some real leadership. Show that you actually care about the people other than yourself. I voted for you, but your behavior on this issue has been a national embarrassment.”

And we had ice cream with homemade raspberry sauce that the person learned to make from Ms. Cynthia. @fidgit.bsky.social It was scrumptious!

The person says it’s a bit warm for blankets, but if blankets won’t come to Taco, Taco will perch on the stack of blankets. I love that sweet cashmere throw.

Person had dinner with friends last night. Talking about current events and three of them (none Republicans because no) knew that Melania had posed nude or had met Trump through Epstein. They wondered why this had not come out the first time around. Democrats, we are bad at messaging. 😾

@midgeandsusie.bsky.social Guys, are we going to be seeing signs? You don’t have to say. 😸

Now listening to Hatemonger about Stephen Miller, and it is all starting to make sense. He has been a giant asshole (thinking of a better description) since middle school. And it was a Latina in high school who first slapped him down. Seriously, this man is disturbed and deeply gross.🤮

📍Senator Fetterman had a VFIB—the leading cause of cardiac arrest—he almost died if not for his implanted defibrillator, which can cost $34,000 to over $51,000. Days ago, he also just voted with GOP to gut health insurance tax credits for millions. Hope he has a change of heart.

Turns out @fetterman.senate.gov fell down and hurt his face. Glad he is OK and how lucky he is that unlike 21 million people who will not be able to afford health insurance because of his recent vote, he will not be bankrupted by this hospital visit because taxpayers are footing the bill.
