Better than expected: Trek sets, local booths, some cosplayers’ garb

Room for improvement: not just promoting on Meta, less 3D print slop sales, more food, contests too late in the day

I just finished my full rewatch of Star Trek #DS9 and I’m sad. What a show!

I probably missed half of the episodes when they originally aired due to college/life and lack of a good UHF antenna in my dorm, so for many episodes it was a first watch.

Onward to Voyager!

I think it’s not the Internet per se, it’s the natural outcome for narcissists who achieve extremely high levels of power and/or money.

They fall down rabbit holes of immortality quests, conspiracy theories, AGI, grand plans to reshape humanity or the social contract, going to space/sea, etc

I get why this sort of feature is so decentralized, but the implementation just plain sucks and is only used by a small portion of the BlueSky population.

Like custom feeds, without easy mass adoption, it doesn’t move the needle on helping people find their tribes here.

For the first time today, I ran out of premium request tokens using Claude Sonnet 4 with GitHub Copilot.

I've gotten spoiled handing off little tasks and checking in occasionally while I work on other things.

So, I'll be over here yelling at GPT 4.1 until it resets.
