Besides, building people up is so much better than tearing them down or belittling them. Better for them, better for us, better for the community as a whole. Cringe as it might be in some circles, I really do believe love is stronger than hate, or despair, or disdain. 🤷‍♀️

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Oh! If you have the opportunity, you really should try one! The other ingredients allow the herbal quality of the Chartreuse to really shine against the backdrop of the other flavors, and I just realized that I've become the worst sort of cocktail hipster. 🤣

And all I can do is work towards a world where we don’t have to be scared to be ourselves, where being who we are day after day doesn’t require a bravery the jackbooted ICE cowards will never know.

We’re not there yet, obviously, but I take comfort in just how terrified our enemies are of us.

Today is National Coming Out Day.

I came out as bisexual in the ‘90s.

Then as nonbinary in 2013.

Then—most surprisingly for me—as a transgender woman in 2020, and a lesbian later that year.

I’m finally myself, the me I was always meant to be, and—come what may—I am happier than I have ever been.
