This is A reason why it’s tough for surgeons, (particularly women surgeons on whose shoulders the ‘sorting out’ seems to rest) to impact, because it’s Too Late by the time we see them at F2/Core.

Yes me too - it’s mostly other specialisties who have bad memories of their short rotations as f1s or preconceptions of what a surgeons life is like who told me it’s not a job for a woman

Please share: QR code to join survey on gender bias

My experiences of support from surgeons has been wholly positive: the *only* negativity I ever faced about career choices came in PRHO (F1) from physicians, possibly projecting their 1970s feelings about house jobs.

I don’t know which intrigues me more… eyeballing an “all-action doctor” or watching the man-slaying lion drive a weaponised jeep… 🦁 #Beast #SummariseAMovie #Film4
Movie synopsis: (2022) Thrilling romp starring Idris Elba as an all-action doctor who must protect his family from a man-slaying lion in the wilds of South Africa, armed with a jeep and a keen right hook. [AD,S]

George flags have been popping up on M25 motorway bridges. Today they reached the approach road to the hospital. Where 48% of staff were born overseas, serving a population that’s 74% white British.

Really concerned where this is heading
