One of my favorite thing in baseball is when the broadcast talks about how the manager should be feeling some sort of big feeling and then they cut to a totally stoic man spitting seeds or blowing gum bubbles

So far as I have heard, every team in the MLB playoffs are a ramshackle collection of overpaid underachievers and rank amateurs managed by bumbling idiots.

(Except for the Jays, of course.)

I don't think that bullpen games are optimal, but it made sense that the Jays would do it in that series against that opponent.

Coulda gone awry in so many ways, but I think it was managed really well, matching the right relievers to the right moments. Schneids and Pete deserve their kudos.
