I will be the first to admit I couldn’t understand why anyone would oppose Assisted Dying… and then I became disabled and had it “offered” to me.
It’s not compassionate when there’s coercion.

there is zero chance the Yankees failed to turn a profit in any year, but especially in 2025 when they were coming off a World Series appearance. If an MLB owner says he lost money, that's like me saying I can fly. You should insist on proof.

This might be unpopular but it needs to be said: You can just like going to the gym. It doesn’t also have to be framed as an essential part of the resistance to fascism. You look good, you feel good, you do stuff you couldn’t do before; all that is justification enough.

There have been some thoughtful posts this weekend about how people with strict dietary restrictions, vegans/vegetarians and folks with food aversions don’t always feel welcome or don’t even enjoy Thanksgiving [1/2]
I make gluten free stuffing every year. I make my own bread cubes by cutting and toasting GF bread. This stuff has the exact ingredients as a loaf of GF bread but it’s obviously been cut and toasted already. Yet it’s cheaper than a loaf of bread and yields the same amount. What’s the catch?
