I just want Acrobat that works.

I don’t want a tutorial on new features I don’t want every time I open a file.

I don’t want AI summaries.

I don’t want comments to be moved around and hidden because you think that after 20 years it is now better.

Stop changing software for the worse.

This is the exact experience of writing a zoning by-law or official plan amendment
Sometimes I write a (fandom-related) wall of text that is very creatively stimulating to type out, but which I question whether it has relevance beyond my personal interests ;p

And then sometimes I see new interactions or comments on it weeks afterward, and I want you to know that gives me life

Believe it or not you can fit every person on the planet into this matrix.

But for Planners especially it is a crucial and irreversible decision for which faction you’ll join

“Hope you enjoy the holidays!”

Ah yes, the holidays!

Toyotathon, Happy Honda Days, December To Remember, and Red Tag Sales Event

We truly are blessed

I’ve been dismantling computers for 25 years. And it is always kind of hilarious

Steps 1-20: Everything clicks together like LEGO 👍

Step 21: “ok now drizzle the forbidden peanut butter on your $500 CPU ahahaha”

If Heaven and Hell decide that they both are satisfied

Illuminate the "no"s on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you when your soul embarks

Then I'll follow you into the dark

At least it’s not buildings.

Developer: here. It building cost $500m, 10 years of life, very difficult approvals.

Architecture critics: from my tour I suspect the proponent has spent less than a single day on earth, let alone have they ever entered a single building ever. Beavers have done better

Be cool if bikeshare could add a ring or rack on the end. Some of the locations there’s nowhere great to lock up a non-BS bike.

Given these stations are regularly serviced, easy to cut off bikes that have been there a while.

LTT is such a scam.

Explanation for literally every horrible thing that has happened recently that has turned out to be legal:

“Well you see there’s this rule from 1802 that no one ever relied on due to gentlemanliness and decorum but we never deleted out of a sense of pride. It turns out bad people liked it”

Seeing that the “consumer preference” argument in favour of suburbs is trending again - thanks to Will Stancil 🚬😩

Chat, what does “doing our best” mean in this context?

Odd turn of phrase.
MBS claims the murder of Khashoggi was "a huge mistake and we're our doing our best that this doesn't happen again."

I think we need to revisit the fact that Council spent over a decade calling the $1m houses “middle class housing for normal people” and the $500k apartments “luxury housing for elites”

And then heaped extraordinary costs and obligations onto the latter in order to subsidize the former.

Why is the TTC platforming e-bike disinformation?

Train announcement, “a reminder the TTC bans e-bikes between Nov 15 and April 15 due to battery fire concerns”

Like what??

And you may ask yourself, “well how did I get here?”
The dolphins are getting Alzheimer’s from algae blooms
caused by warming waters and toxic runoff

and you could see the bloodstains in Sudan
from space.

The cobalt is mined by children
and the music is made by robots

and the grownups are wondering
where the fireflies went.

A real travesty and loss for the community.

The core’s last great locals-only kick’n’stab.

Friend at another developer shared that they were all told on Friday that bonuses and annual reviews will be “delayed” until end of Q2 2026.

Interesting…

Assisting with an estate right now where it is costing the family THOUSANDS to clear the house of junk so we can sell it.

UV damaged and chipped Royal Dalton figurines aren’t worth what their grandma claimed.

Thankfully positioning it for multiplex so the family can find some yield.

It is wild that copyright infringement is now legal as long as it is done by an AI as a cheap simulacra

If a human does it, you still go to jail

If magic number oracle does it, it is innovation.

I very rarely go to Exhibition Place (going West of Bathurst? Ew)

But it is the PRIME example of why separated LRT is GOAT’d

The Ex grounds are either EMPTY but surrounded by traffic or FULL and surrounded by traffic

Only time I used to drive was for the ski show… /1
Just passed thru Exhibition Place & it’s rammed. They’re parking people on the grass (🤦🏽). Royal winter fair. Soccer game at BMO. The notion that the Ex is used two weeks a year is false.

Why is Queen’s Park Station still like that. It’s been years and years.

I never see anyone working on it.

It seriously feels like it is being done by one guy’s uncle from Newmarket who doesn’t come in if the traffic’s bad or the fishin’s good.
