My readers know I adore the DC waterways, so this story focusing on local anglers was a special delight.
Did you know there's a thriving community of anglers in DC? Whereas some people look at DC's rivers and see pollution, these fishers see potential.

I spent time with some local fisherman — including fishing influencer Ernie the Hog Snatcher — and got a close look at what fishing means to them. 🎣⬇️
Amidst the busyness of city life, D.C. anglers turn to local waterways for peace, for community, and of course, for the pure fun of fishing.
