Day 2

Who was #WilliamTucker?

Not much has been documented about this man, but what is known is that he was the 1st #AfricanAmerican born in the British colonies that would become the United States.

Have you heard of #WilliamTucker? No, not talking about the one who poisoned indigenous people at a peace meeting.

We're talking about the 1st documented #AfricanAmerican born in the colonies that became the United States.

I remain astounded that Microsoft opted to change the name of their Remote Desktop application to Windows App in what has to be among the most confusing and stupid rebrands of all time. Be sure to install the Windows App on your Windows laptop to connect to Windows desktops hosted on Windows 356.

Oh gets better, out of morbid curiosity I look and see if there are preferred providers nearby. So the local doctor I've been seeing for two decades, that I can visit for PCP or urgent care and is just down the street more or less is no good, I should be driving over a half an hour away instead.
February 3, 2026 at 6:37 PM
Ah lovely, the copay to see my PCP has tripled because Aetna decided she's not a "preferred" provider. My really good state health plan continues to circle the fucking drain.

I really love it when you can absolutely tell at a glance what vibe a project is going for, while still being a distance look.
Photon System Overdrive playtest has been updated to V0.13! This update includes Challenge Mode as well as an update to the character sheet to calculate permanent AP and CD changes from upgrades which should make combat run smoother.

Something that really gets me about the state of battery development is that consumers have so many amazing battery powered devices now.

Cordless stick vacuums have become very mainstream. Almost everyone is using cordless power tools, in fact lots of auto shops hardy use air tools anymore!

Fully in the throes of a winter cold. I seriously hope it isn't as slow to leave as it felt like it was to come on. My sinuses felt a wee it off all last week and shit only kicked din Saturday. But now, oh boy. So stuffy.

Oh man, tragic news. I love mine.
We've just heard that RetroUSB, makers of the AVS, is reportedly shut down. The website now only acts as an archive for firmware and past product information.

If true, it's a sad day for the NES community. Here's hoping @analogue.bsky.social brings back their NT Mini Noir.

It's important to celebrate this because without history, we have no past.

With no past, how can we have a future worth living?

This year will mark the #100thAnniversary of Black History Month.

We've actually got a decent amount of snow and... I think I might be getting my first cold of the season. My sinuses have been threatening me all week and I fear it's happening.
