Well, I'm not surprised. It sucks that I have to go job hunting now, but eh, better job hunt now than leave it to do later and start getting desperate because I might not be able to pay the bills. I'd love to stay jobless, but I don't have a second income.

I think I get what you mean. I have seen uses of AI that would legitimately contribute to this area, but big techs wanting easier ways to get profit in spite of actually contributing with this type of technology will keep stagnating advancements to it that actually matters.

My husband shared with me a research about how the main AI models are very susceptible to data poisoning and no matter the size of their models, it doesn't need a lot of sources with misinformation or garbage data to compromise the model's reliability over a certain subject.

My only complaint about One UI though is how much Samsung nags you to use their "Galaxy AI" features. No Samsung, I don't want to use a generative AI slop wallpaper. I don't want to apply "quirky" AI filters to my photos. I don't want to use AI assisted writing for the keyboard.

And this phone ticks both boxes.

I still remember when Samsung had their terrible skin, TouchWiz that made the phone laggy as hell lol. One UI is much much better than that! I really like their implementation. It's not bloated, it has actual useful features and looks good!

So I could install a custom ROM if I didn't like its original ROM or the phone wouldn't receive updates from the manufacter anymore

Nowadays I'm tired. I don't have the patience of troubleshooting and ROM hopping anymore. I just want a phone that works well and will get updates for a long time

Like the screen is soooo good, the cameras are really really good, the under display fingerprint is pretty cool, it feels very snappy, and it has IP68 protection!

Back when I had patience, a must have feature for a phone for me was the ability to able unlock its bootloader easily.

My hubby @khanno.bsky.social gifted me a Galaxy S24 FE and I love it! I can finally put my old Redmi Note 9s to rest.

Like, daaamn, I really like the SE thing of Samsung where they make a mid-end priced phone with the best features of their top end phones!
