Veronica took in the eerie image of Polly—completely naked except for her hair still tucked up inside the bonnet. In the strange light she was red highlights and black shadows. Like a German expressionist painting. Clothes were scattered around them.

Veronica wanted to get between Polly’s legs for the thrill of doing the forbidden away from the bedroom, but Polly was right, they needed to deal with the soaking wet clothes first.

Another crack of thunder burst overhead. Polly jumped and squealed, then threw herself at Veronica, squeezing their naked bodies together.

Once more Veronica allowed her hand to descend to Polly’s behind, and she manipulated it rhythmically, pushing her fingers deeper into the crack. Polly gave a sigh and relaxed, then lifted her leg to give her lover easier access.

There are hundreds of years of history of women’s scientific accomplishments not being recognised or being minimised (“not notable”). It *still* happens. Many female scientists are only acknowledged on Wikipedia thanks to the efforts of, yes, other female scientists, notably physicist Dr Jess Wade.
