I am a tax lawyer, but I am not YOUR tax lawyer. All of my posts cover general topics and should not be construed as legal or tax advice. Your circumstances might be specific, I don't know! If you have a tax problem, consider seeing a professional!
If you have all of your tax documents, filing early and with direct deposit is a great way to quickly get your refund.

On the other hand, if you owe tax, you can set the payment date as late as Apr 15 to give yourself time to save up if needed.

If you make under a certain income threshold, it may be worth looking for a VITA site. There, volunteers will prepare your federal and state tax returns for free.

Even if you didn’t have income, it may be worth filing a tax return because the IRS generally only has 3 years* to assess extra tax, measured from the date of filing (or the due date of the return, whichever is later).

*This can be longer in some cases, such as fraud or substantial understatement.

If you own a single member LLC, it’s generally disregarded for tax purposes and has no impact on your income tax liability! Some people think it does; they’re wrong! You can elect to have it taxed as a corporation but that’s not the default treatment.

If you get a notice from the IRS, the worst thing to do is wait! By waiting, you might unknowingly be giving up the right to use certain tools to resolve the issue (many of them are time-sensitive)!
