To be clear, Medicare only pays 80%. We seniors still have to pay for private insurance to cover that 20% and it's not cheap. Universal single payer healthcare is what we should demand just like the rest of the civilized world.

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.
