There’s just something about the music. They’re like snake charmers or pied pipers, they have a magical power. My wife and I just had a conversation about how Steely Dan is by far the most popular white classic rock band among black folks. There is something in that music that catches you.

Worked a festival 2 weeks back, talking music with a guy on our team, he’s talking favorite bands and then goes “and I guess I’m old now because I’m super into Steely Dan all of a sudden” and I just laughed and said “yeah man, happens to us all.”
