I'm not sure the time for AI replacing junior lawyers has quite arrived.

It is impossible that a botched edit in a UK TV broadcast caused a billion-dollar damage. A justice system that cannot handle such a claim without potentially ruining the broadcaster is very dysfunctional. I do not think that is something an anti-SLAPP law can solve. It is a deeper issue.

EuGH: Polen muss gleichgeschlechtliche EU-Ehe anerkennen
Zwei Polen heirateten in Deutschland und zogen später wieder nach Polen zurück. Die dortigen Behörden müssen die Ehe anerkennen, entschied nun der EuGH.

One of the many reasons why outside investment in law firms is problematic and the ECJ was right to uphold the German ban.
Opinion: Columbia law professors say a shift to outside investment in law firms could lead to big payouts for senior partners while leaving junior attorneys to navigate a complicated and less lucrative model for delivering legal services.

I had a popular account with a valuable audience and my Twitter payout was $80 a month-ish, to the point where I disabled monetization instead of uploading my ID. Payouts are only material if you live in a developing country, so “guy in Nigeria posting right-wing Amerislop” has taken over the site.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

The new US dietary guidelines that are coming out soon will be a thing to behold.
And yes, the swag bags. Attendees received MAHA-branded tote bags with:

- Packets of creatine
- Beef tallow potato chips ($79 for a 6-pack!!)
- Mouth tape
- RFK Jr's biography
- Beef protein bars

I really believe the tech bros build Ai systems to give confident, if often wrong, answers because that works for them. That’s what they do every day. They don’t understand that most people *need* to be correct, that they don’t have thirteen safety nets to catch them if they make a mistake.

A strange mishmash of influencers, anti-ageing entrepreneurs, Big Business leaders (Walmart, Google) and top govt officials gathered at the ritzy Waldorf Astoria in DC.

Notably absent were any academic researchers or clinicians. Instead, panelists criticized the medical establishment all day long.
There's an exclusive, closed-to-media MAHA summit tomorrow. Here's the full agenda I was leaked

In attendance will be JD Vance, RFK Jr, Bhattacharya, Makary, actor Russell Brand (who is facing rape and sexual assault charges), and dozens of other MAHA influencers and people in Trump's orbit

All those clips are 10/10 for entertainment value (not that I would expect them to mean much in the longer run).
Q: would you feel comfortable living in NYC under a Mamdani administration ?
