Webber activates the alumni network. He calls former residents to seed a Chief’s Circle donor club for the local abortion fund. He loops in Catherine Fox so the Fox Foundation backs direct services that help funds cover procedures and travel.

Jo is all about trauma-informed care. When a partnership opportunity arises, she helps her local abortion fund set up a mental health counseling fund and a peer support circle led by people who have had abortions. She kicks it off with a fundraiser and locks in a monthly donation.

Dr. Callie Torres loves community, connection, and loud queer joy. She sponsors the fund’s annual queer variety night, where drag and burlesque shine and every ticket supports abortion seekers. She also boosts repro kit info on her socials so people know where to find EC, tests, and condoms.

Dr. Amelia Shepherd understands stigma. She speaks about her own path to recovery and stigma, connecting how they relate to abortion. She launched a “skip a latte, fund a ride” donation challenge with her colleagues to help the local fund cover logistics for people traveling to get abortion care.

Dr. Cristina Yang has had abortions and knows access changes everything. She ties a matching grant with surgical attendings tied to OR start time. Start late, give more. Efficiency is her love language, so she is a monthly giver because the best way to help someone get an abortion is to pay for it.

After Roe, Dr. Miranda Bailey launched a repro care clinic. She knows choice means nothing without access, so she partners with her local fund to keep income from being a barrier. She tracks outcomes, co-writes grants, and organizes payroll giving to keep the local abortion fund’s support steady.

Dr. Addison Montgomery teaches doctors how to perform various abortion procedures. She also created a referral pathway so patients leave with a one pager to the helpline, the local abortion fund, and travel support. She seeds a weekend microgrant with her speaker fees.

Dr. Meredith Grey backs patients failed by the system. Remember when she risked everything to help a young immigrant girl? She knows cost blocks care, so she adds abortion fund info to patient packets at Grey Sloan. Then she starts a monthly donor challenge. Lowest donor buys coffee for the pit.

Paging Grey's Anatomy fans! In honor of tonight’s premiere, we imagined how our faves would back their local abortion fund. From Bailey’s pragmatism to Cristina’s efficiency, the takeaway is simple: donate monthly, share resources, and help people get to their appointments. Check out our thread!

When you narrow it down to people who support abortion access AND fully embrace reproductive justice, it goes to 100%.

Here’s the truth:

🌻 Abortion funds are still here.
🌻 We are the last line of support for many Texans.
🌻 We help people access the out-of-state abortion care they need with compassion, not judgment.

Texans already live under 4 overlapping abortion bans. The impact has been devastating for maternal & child health. HB 7 will only make things worse by isolating pregnant people and punishing those who care for them.

🚨 Last night, Governor Abbott signed HB 7 into law.

This latest ban expands Texas’ abortion restrictions and creates a bounty-hunting scheme where extremists can sue anyone who helps a Texan access abortion pills and pocket up to $100,000.
