High quality, professionally run hill skills courses, hiking adventures and outdoor experiences.
Day 2 of our NNAS Gold navigation skills course today up on the flanks of Ingleborough.

Another day of contours, compass & strategies.

This is why we learn to navigate… to go off the beaten track, watch a sunset from a quiet hillside and navigate off the fells in the dark, with confidence.

Hiking quote of the day…

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.”

Hiking Quote of the Day

“I'm losing precious days. I am degenerating into a machine for making money. I am learning nothing in this trivial world of men. I must break away and get out into the mountains to learn the news.”

Hike up from Doo Lough to the summit of Mweelrea (814m) via a dramatic corrie and The Ramp. The summit offers one of the most spectacular summits I’ve been to, with views across Connemara, Killary Harbour (fjord) and the sweeping beaches of the West Coast of Ireland

Research weekend for this summer’s West of Ireland Adventure Week.

Up on Nephin today (806m), the highest standalone mountain in Ireland and the second highest in Connacht. This is an absolutely cracking horseshoe walk. Stunning.

We got a Brocken Spectre at the summit too.

NNAS 'Straight to Silver' Award

Rather than using an app to find your next walk, learn how to navigate & a map will show you every possible walk. Yes, that’s right. Learning to read a map unlocks that potential.
