The root cause of AWS outage? DNS. Specifically to their DynamoDB service, which most things use - including their own internal systems, like their dashboard/monitoring/virtual machine management etc.
It caused a ripple effect where other services couldn't operate normally and had a massive backlog

I think the hardest cybersecurity tip is going to be about room bookings at conventions. Most cons won't handle room bookings on your behalf, and it is easy to reserve a room and use that as proof, only to cancel later when they've taken your money that you thought was your "share".
