Bought a typewriter earlier this month. I need to get it serviced a bit, but from initial typying experiments, I'm struck by how it's a skill to use well in itself.
But my first through in purchasing it? At least they can't update it with fucking AI.

I'm really quite enjoying the cold, wintry turn here. It's nice to be reminded that the seasons still exist, and have had an autumn moving into a frosty and cold winter.

If I could give myself any writing advice 10 years ago other than write more, I'd absolutely say marketing, at every opportunity. It's got to be done, and frankly no one else is going to champion your work, so it's a skill to learn and do as much as possible.

Still suffering a bit from the cognitive damage of a trainer going on about the benefits of AI. Going beyond the usual arguments, it was painful because their job is literally about helping people learn new skills. Skills that AI is simultaneously stripping away from people.
