At some point you just have to declare the other AL slot vacant and hold some kind of conclave, right?

It gives geography obsessed kids like yours and mine something to correct, so it’s great that way (and not just that it’s 30 years out of date).

36. Roofman - I just had to see this movie first thing as the real guy robbed a McDonald’s I was working at, so I’ve been following his “career” ever since. Pretty good movie, like most these days too long & it can’t decide how much comedy or drama to do but a great story well told. (B)

Two of the old men in the audience are audibly snoring.

Unemployed so hell yes I’m seeing a movie at 12:30 on a weekday.

This story has been picked up by multiple news outlets, including the Chicago Tribune and the Fox-owned station in the city.

You know which Chicago outlet doesn't appear to have a story about this on its website?

He’s… fine. A bit one note but a lot character actors are.

Friday night April 24th, 1987: what would you watch?

There he so much going on in this one.

I’ve been reading a lot recently about the Revolutionary War and it’s amazing how similar all Civil Wars are. Brutal, personal and they all last longer than any combatant expects… even when necessary.

12315. The Mullets “Pilot Episode Smackdown” - So… both of the creators of this series are mutuals so I don’t say this lightly, but, uh, this isn’t good. Not outright awful, Loni Anderson in particular is great, but the punching down isn’t earned & doesn’t feel authentic. (C)

12314. A Man on the Inside “The Emily Always Rings Twice” - Okay, my previous complaint about this series was that The Waitress seemed superfluous but here they integrate her perfectly into the plot. I think I, like Charles, have finally settled into this series. (B+)

I think I'm saying, "pretty sure you're wrong." But no idea what episode it's from. Season 3? (and thanks for the clip, Sitcompeople!)

35. The Naked Gun - Is this as good as the peak of the genre? No, damned close. Neeson, CCH & Anderson are fantastic in this, my only real complaint is that some of the rest of the cast isn’t at the same level. Well that & I wish this was PG-13 so I could show my kids. (A-)

They’re both honestly about 10-15 years too old at this point if I’m being very realistic.

I would go with Anna Faris.

12313. Private Benjamin "S*M*A*S*H" - This is easily the best single cam sitcom from the early 80's, an era where there were a bunch of them but none were all that good. This is quite a sweet show but it also remembers to be funny. (B)

12312. Private Benjamin "So Long, Sgt. Ross" - This is pretty good, it's fairly surprising that I can only find two of its 39 eps. It's got a great cast, the only real weakness is Benjamin herself, and even that just barely. Wish I could find more! (B-)
