I’m feeling a little nervous about doing both trips in the dark when the clocks go back.
At least on the return journey there isn’t much traffic…

I don’t think our gigs go as far as the A21 Hastings thankfully…

The tunnel in Lewes was shut last night and so was the one on the Shoreham(?) Bypass. Took me ages to get home after practice.
I’m not sure I could deal with an ‘unsafe’ A road and my favourite driving conditions (p*ssing rain, blowing a gale and pitch black…)

It’s on the corner just in from the bus stop, & the bus runs from Portsmouth through to Brighton every half hour & late into the night - so it’s probably not anyone who lives locally. More likely a couple of lads with paint cans & a bus pass.
Thankfully a white wall at number 7 was hidden by a bush.

It was ok what I saw of Kings Heath & Stirchley when I was up on Monday, but all around the island at the Maypole flags are very high up on all the lamp posts.
Obviously someone has money to hire help.
The ‘Weoley warriors’ who started it all off are supposedly local. Bet the money for it all isn’t.

Oh blimey. Never had an iMac.
Good luck with that.
First MacBook did sterling service in school. 1600+ battery charges.
iPad was fabulous too, loads of cheap assistive tech apps for the PMSLD kids.
I know they’re pricey but Apple kit is so worth it.

I have seen it done but I’ve never done it myself.
(I’ve put a new battery in a MacBook which was reasonably easy but then the hard drive failed but I’d already transferred everything to an external hard drive…)

Seagulls around here love the water bowls outside Pets at Home.
It means they can have a drink after mugging guys for sausage rolls and steak bakes outside Greggs.

I suppose I was in a bit of a bubble in south Birmingham. My kids are in their 40s and their schools were extremely diverse and we assumed everyone was as chilled as we were.
I agree that Thatcher wrecked things that had served us like housing & jobs for political advantage & she started this rot.

No doubt it’ll heat up in the car and explode by the weekend…

Despite the high profile of some of these knuckle draggers - most people don’t agree.
Most of the others when they see a bit of push back check themselves &recalibrate.
A few are hardliners or just sheep.
Ten years ago they would’ve been shunned - unfortunately Brexit empowered them.

Trouble with that most folk, when they see the Green’s policies about travel, sustainability and resources are unlikely to vote for them.

They know they should Reduce, Reuse, Recycle but suggest that they should change their habits and have one bin collection a month?
