Ehh The same argument can (and was) made for shitty ARM mortgage products.
One big reason ARMs and 30+ year mortgages were made illegal in Obama's 2009 legislation and to ensure 2008 didn't happen again

That is correct that they won’t own for longer than 15 years, because they won’t own period. And therein lies the issue.

I was saying this exact thing to my husband, because our Iife expectancy is dropping at such a rate, and because a lot of people are buying later - they never actually own their homes in their lifetimes.
