Trying to think of TTRPGs that do generational play - where you don't play a character, but instead a bloodline.
Pendragon, where you start off as knights whose children (future PCs)will be part of the round table, and whose grandchildren (ditto) see Arthur's fall, comes to mind.

Played Traveller today, w a new player.
We did some trading stuff, which was kinda boring tbh, and then the PCs started the haunted space station module, Death Station, and I think we hooked the new guy.

I've mostly finished this book now.

Most regional sourcebooks for this game give you a map with dozens, if not hundreds, of individual systems; however, they only detail a few. Each system gets one page, if that. They're annoyingly vague.

I've mostly finished this book now.
It's still really good, but it has a lot of padding about setting lore, company structure, and stuff that will never actually happen at the table.

Had a flash of inspiration last night for a dinner idea.
Mediterranean style poke bowls.
Mediterranean rice pilaf. Lots of fresh veggies and beans. A hummus style sauce to spread over it all, with parsley and sesame.
The prep starts now. Who knows if it'll be good?

Family is all now COVID free. But now, one of our cats seems to have a cold.
And the other one, Burnzie, is super worried that we're all gonna starve to death, so he went out and killed a squirrel to feed us.

I'm not built for PvP. I just killed a guy on arc raiders, believing he was a belligerent (he wasn't). He seemed genuinely ~hurt~ that I had attacked him.

I can't think of any, but I've done similar in past games,
and it was fun.

My sister's girlfriend is from South Africa, so my sister has started learning Dutch (Afrikaans isn't on Duolingo, and they're very similar languages).
So my sister and I are practicing Dutch together.

I really want to make an iron age Viking/Celtic game.
And on the cover will be a Viking woman. She'll be black, or maybe Asian. She'll have facial piercings. And have a pride flag.

My wifes BFF is really into hockey smut. Like, the shows and books where hockey players bang other hockey players.
Today I told her a bunch of (non smutty) hockey stories, and she was enamoured.
If I play the cards right, I might be able to turn her into a real hockey fan.

The new season of #ArcRaiders started today, and I'm enjoying starting from scratch.
It seems like it's become a lot less friendly in solo lobbies, as a bunch of normally friendly people have turned into sharks smelling blood in the water.

My favourite bar got rid of the TV screens that played old movies, as well as the chalk board of all the beers on tap... And replaced it all with a MENU.
Bars should not have menus. You should just KNOW drinks, like they're magical spells.
Bummed me out.
My Old Fashioned was still great, though.
