Lurking under the COVID-19 pandemic came the little known “ports congestion pandemic”, where ships around the world were forced to wait on anchor for weeks or months for port access.

Despite intensive research, no-one has identified where tuna spawn, or which routes their larvae take to return to NZ.

The Ngā Awa River Restoration Programme is supporting freshwater restoration initiatives in three Doubtless Bay catchments. We're proud to be co-leading this programme, along with a Doubtless Bay hapū collective and @docgovtnz.bsky.social
