Ship anchors can cause extensive and long-lasting damage to the seabed.

At a recent workshop, AUT's Marta Ribó and ESNZ's Dr Sally Watson brought together iwi, government agencies and researchers, to highlight existing research & look at ways to mitigate effects.

Is our food system overdue for a revamp?

Despite intensive research, no-one has identified where tuna spawn, or which routes their larvae take to return to NZ.

Dr Amandine Sabadel & her team are hoping to reconstruct the journeys of these taonga using a new method based on stable isotopes.
