Bari Weiss is doing exactly what she was expected to do. Ellison, Bezos, and other oligarchs are not trying to make their media properties profitable. They are turning them into regime media--to make their other properties more profitable.
From the @status.news on Anderson Cooper's decision not to renew his contract at CBS.

"Weiss not only failed to persuade Cooper to grow his footprint at the network, but ultimately helped chase him away from it entirely."

They are losing support from registered republicans. They keep pointing at blue states, "Leftists Democrats and Liberals" as the reason for their struggles. Their floor is rotting beneath them as they complain about an aging roof. They don't want anyone to know they've lost Texas, Florida and Utah.
The Republican Political Party is holding down 10 states. They battered Utah, cancelling billions in funds and education grants as Mike Lee tried to sell off their publican lands to private investors. Foreclosures surged 32% in Florida in last month. Blue states aren't their problem. That's a myth.

His FCC refused to air my interview with Stephen Colbert.

A terrifying acceleration.

The number of times a State of Emergency has been declared in 2026, has ALREADY matched the 2025 number.

How long before we’re in a permanent State of Emergency and unable to recover?

Preparing for climate change, AND cutting emissions have to be election issues.
Severe weather States of Emergency in 2026 already match last year
Eight severe weather-related states of emergency have already been declared this year, matching the total for all of 2025.

Opinion | Libertarians warned about executive power. Only a few actually warned about Trump.
Anthony L. Fisher: A recent New York Times op-ed showed the blind spot many libertarians still have for President Donald Trump.

This type of article, explaining how tariffs work has been released in some form or fashion every few months, for over a decade.

And yet most Americans do not know how tariffs work.

This is who the world kowtows to
Americans, not other countries, paid Trump's tariffs in 2025
President Donald Trump has repeatedly said foreigners would pay for his import tariffs. A new report says Americans picked up most of the tab.

Ossoff: "Among today's false prophets are the election deniers who indulge this president's obsession with overturning the 2020 election. Hear me when I say this -- they tell a lie so absurd, and therefore so debasing, that the act of telling it proves the teller's total and humiliating submission."

The Republicans thought that by twisting the electoral map, they would lock down Congress. Ironically, in Texas, their Hispanic gamble is vanishing, and six seats could slip to the Democrats. When manipulation bites its own tail, even Trump ends up getting stung.

I want to remind folks of something that’s still raw for me. After the 2024 loss, most Dems in Congress went quiet. You remember the silence. It was deafening.

Jasmine Crockett did the opposite. She stepped up early, got loud, and was never afraid to take on Trump.
