Finally captured some decent photos!

When I got home from work last night, one of my berried Blue Dreams was right up against the glass, so I was able to get some really nice clear photos!

Spotted my first blue dream shrimplet during today’s water change! Totally unexpected this early on, but such a fun surprise. Just hoping I didn’t accidentally siphon up any of its siblings in the process. It looks like I’ve got a berried female carrying the next batch too! 🦐

20myo, in what’s now the Dominican Republic, this beetle made a fatal mistake. But instead of fading into dust, like many of his kind before and since, he found himself caught in tree sap and fossilized. Forever sealed in amber, his story became a legacy—a rare window into a world long before ours.
