The Korean language hangul was created by King Sejong. The country used to use Chinese pictographs (?) but he wanted an alpha et accessible to all. hangul is an alphabet. I know the alphabet so I can read anything (I absolutely cannot understand everything I read).

Work has been so hectic that I haven't been able to post my usual COVID safe advocacy pics. But here I am, reminding you that all patients deserve SAFE care. And just because your institution doesn't mandate masks, doesn't mean you can't use critical thinking based on evidence to provide safe care

JAMA: COVID-19 infection in pregnancy is associated with increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders in early childhood.

We were warned about maternal immune activation YEARS ago.

Clean air, masking, and prevention were never “overreactions.” They were child-protection.

They still are.

Funny how basic airborne infection controls (masking, HEPAs, window cracked 2cm) are framed as a "burden," while the burden of being repeatedly exposed to Covid is dismissed as anxiety & goes unacknowledged

How's this for serendipity. Looking to buy a very specific Korean vocab textbook. Had an idea to look on FB marketplace (always prefer to buy secondhand) and the seller is coming to drop it off to me at work tomorrow!!! I am so excited! #nerd

Can confirm quite a few of our docs use it in the public hospital setting, they love it. Biggest driver for them is the time saving.

it's just one of those days" except in healthcare every day is just one of those days. Genuinely certain I'm being punked today. Someone up there in the sky is trying to see what it'll take for me to crumble in a heap.

When the Bendigo version got cancelled there was a concerted campaign for people to buy books from the main bookseller associated with the festival.
Hopefully the same will occur here.
