We stopped in the desert for a pee break and an old man who was herding goats nearby rode over on this camel. In Asia, there seems to be a game I'll call Make The White Guy Ride The Camel. If there's a camel and a white guy, he's going to ride that animal. (2/2)

I believe that the main reason why we are in the situation we find ourselves is the decisions we've made. The problem is that we don't always correctly anticipate the consequences of those decisions. We fail to see patterns emerging until it's too late. And we just make poor decisions.

I should have planned ahead and brought the slowest film I could get my hands on. HP5 probably wasn't the best choice for a bright day like that. If I'd used 100 ASA film, I probably could have ditched the filter and got better looking flare. Oh, well...

Wow. That is an amazing garage sale. I wish someone in Brussels would run one like that.

I had some great luck today at the Vieux Marché place du Jeu de Balle in Bruxelles. Scored 28mm and 135mm prime lenses for my K1000 for €50 in mint condition.

I'd just cruise the flea markets with a few batteries in my pocket and see what turns up. I bought an Olympus AZ-200 for €6 at a thrift store and it's perfect.

Very nice. I'm finding that pinhole photos often turn out well when you've got something close to the camera. Grass or a boardwalk works great here.

Beautiful shots. I hadn't thought about the influence of aperture on halation. Not that there's a lot of it going on in this particular shot. It just bothers me that my foreground isn't in focus. Need to go back. Might try blue hour next time.
