I've lost family to gun violence before & covered a lot of it as a journalist.
Other than checking on people like I did, sometimes for self-care you've got to turn social media off and walk away.

If this is correct, then there appears to have been a pretty massive security breach at the FIFA World Cup Draw, which both FIFA and US Secret Service need to provide answers on.

What'd also be great would be more scientists having experienced research statisticians as co-authors. If proper methodologies for data gathering & analysis aren't present, studies can be very misleading at best.

Why does every target trial emulation study have to include a bit that says "this shows how great target trial emulation is. RCTs are non-generalisable and expensive"? Imagine if every RCT said "this shows how great RCTs are. We did not have to rely on strong, untestable assumptions".
