Bridget Phillipson v Lucy Powell for Labour Party Deputy Leader... Their personal statements sent to party members are bland and contentless. Does anyone know where they stand on Trans issues?

www.theguardian.com/politics/202... [Streeting] added: “I don’t think the government can afford to bury our heads in the sand about the fact that trans people in our country today feel less safe than they did 10 years ago.” And whose fault is that, Wes?
We must tackle rising tide of racism and homophobia claiming to be free speech, says Streeting

As an infertile woman, I found JK Rowling’s comment about “faulty equipment” absolutely disgusting

JK Moulding does not give a sh*t about women and is clearly no ‘feminist’. It’s blatantly obvious her only interest is brain-rotting transphobia! 😣

I fought doctors for over 15 years to have my excruciating pain believed. And now, JK Rowling thinks I'm faulty because I'm infertile?

Huge shout out to Nord Liverpool, a restaurant I visited recently, for their gender-diversity positive toilet labelling. For the toilets they have seven single-person IDENTICALcubicles and one disabled one.

‘The fight for trans safety is a fight for everyone’s safety. The campaign against trans people is not about anyone’s safety. It is exactly what it looks like: an organised effort to drive a tiny minority from public life, back into the closet.’

I don't think I've seen anyone draw parallels between the insistence by TERFs that trans women should be excluded from single sex spaces that match their gender and apartheid where black people were forced to use racially segregated facilities etc.

If you are a cis person using a single-sex space or service and the provider of that space questions your birth sex , would you feel that your privacy had been invaded?
Repost for “yes”.

EHRC backs down on single-sex toilets | Good Law Project
The EHRC’s interim update unleashed chaos after the Supreme Court’s transphobic decision. But now the commission says it was only ‘some observations’ and rows back on its demand for single-sex toilets...

Last year my wife had breast cancer and a double mastectomy.

This morning, for the first time ever, she was challenged in the changing rooms at the swimming pool. Her breasts were not what make her a woman - but, breasts or not, she is entitled to dignity and protection from vigilantes.
