Very much that! We ended part 1 on such a high note that part 2 just struggled to live up to. It was overall somber which was a good juxtaposition only if you watch both parts back to back. Waiting a full year and building so high of anticipation harmed it over all.

Love, no. Appreciate, yes. I gave it a 7.5/10. There were some pacing issues that didn’t translate from stage to film well to me. As a play it would have been cool but there were opportunities to flesh things out. And the songs didn’t hit as much. No Good Deed and For Good carried the film.
