wouldn't call it "whitewashing" because it's not what that word means, but yea I agree. Also that game is downright egregious, why are we playing post-9/11 discrimination in airports simulator but make it cozy???

The Messenger

Its only recognizable trait is its mask of a Vandagyre it wears, but it's all hollow beneath those robes.

A creature with a golden carnival mask of an owl-like bird, but with a crown on top of the mask. The rest of the body is covered in a granulated robe of absolute darkness, save for the gold chais it wears around its neck. The only parts that you can see of its body are the completely transparent wing-hands, one which is pointing at you, the other holding a lit lantern-staff. There is more granulated darkness that surrounds it.

It's the same creature as before, but the hollow eyes of the mask have yellow lights in the middle, like pupils staring at you. The background now is of two images mixed together radially, the center being the photo of a dark desert dune with sand blowing off its peak, and the outer ring being the cartoony drawing of a dark and spooky forest.

Biggest influence: Neopets, of course.

Major influences: Sailor Moon, Steven Universe

Smaller influences: Early 2000s DC cartoons, CLAMP, 80s/90s manga art (picture here is of Trigun)

Other influences: Photoshop Flowey and other 2010s photoshop style, Bone (the comic series), ENA (the webseries), Turma da Mônica, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Faith: The Unholy Trinity, impressionist art in general, specifically Rene Magritte is depicted here.
