Actually scratch that I really was NOT brave, and in fact was only sufficiently distracted from having a complete and very public emotional breakdown by the little girl wearing a Frozen t-shirt in the waiting room who unashamedly insisted we play with her weird squishy ball for 10 minutes.

I need everyone to know that I was REALLY brave while getting my blood drawn (routine labs) today even though the phlebotomist was NOT sympathetic (ie refused my request for a juice box or stickers).

I just finished my copy of Be Not Afraid #1 by @judedoyle.bsky.social and... Holy shit. I feel more shook and unsettled by this 1 issue than by any horror media I've experienced in years. If you enjoy horror, this is a must read. I'm going to be on the edge of my seat till the next issue comes out.
