• Figure out a small way to grow and thrive

My Native American partner thinks that b/c he’s a natural born citizen that he’s immune. I say the only protection he really has is that I will do my best to use my middle-aged lady whiteness & shame-on-you mom voice to do what I can. (Not sure if will do any good, but getting him a passport)

Even today if I were to be 100% honest with myself I haven’t been 100% honest. You’d think honesty would be easiest, but telling someone that you did x out of pettiness? Oof… But you have to try. Mark Twain said something about always be honest because you’ll never have to rely on your memory 🤣

That was going to be my advice. No point in it if you’re still lying to yourself. Lying defeats the purpose. The therapist has probably heard practically everything. I doubt you’ll shock them. And you’re not trying to make them your friend. You’re trying to be a good friend to yourself.

Good job Coast Guard. Interdiction takes drugs off the streets and gives us evidence to go after kingpins. That should be the strategy in the Caribbean rather than illegally bombing boats that may or may not contain drugs.
