Watching Hot Wax Zombies on Wheels (1999). It is very 1999 in tone and humour. A salon opens in a small town and everyone who goes there gets turned into a braindead horny zombie now that they’ve been rid of that pesky body hair. 20 minutes left and none of the zombies have been on wheels 📽️

My neighbour told me Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum keeps eating his streamers so I asked how many streamers he has and he said he just goes to YouTube and gets a new streamer afterwards so I said it sounds like he’s just feeding streamers to Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and then his 딸 started crying.

Watched Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018). Found footage is usually not my thing but this was pretty good. Took awhile to build up but the last third was fucking great. I like the idea that ghost hunters just keep feeding themselves to the building 📽️ #horrorsky

Now watching Never Let Go (2024). I don’t think this got great reviews, but it has things I enjoy; forest horror, silly conceits, and unnecessary chapter titles. I’ve never been a big Halle Berry fan but I feel like this is the kind of thing she can elevate 📽️ #horrorsky

Watched White Zombie (1932) the story didn’t really grab me and other than Lugosi and Madge Bellamy, I found most of the actors bad or forgettable. But it is dripping in atmosphere and has some absolutely wonderful shots. I could watch this again on edibles and have a wonderful time 📽️ #horrorsky

Now watching a dark horse candidate for best action movie of the 80s: Invasion USA (1985). I love the story that when it was finished they thought there was too much plot, so they edited it down to nothing but action sequences. Golan and Globus knew what they were doing 📽️

When you’re sick, the only real cure is some Schwarzenegger. Now watching Commando (1985). This has one of the best collections of dudes in film: Bill Duke, Dan Hedaya, David Patrick Kelly, and Vernon Wells. Even Bill Paxton shows up in a small role 📽️
