Dust Storms May Exist
There are at least 4 on the 15 minute drive between my house and the office. We’ve been under water restrictions for years but these stupid things everyone hates keep getting built. It would be cool if cities put moratoriums on them.

My BIL is a big eater, he can really, really put it away. I kinda want him to visit so we can put him in the car on an empty stomach and drive straight to Amarillo with no snacks. He’d put in a heroic showing at the Big Texan and he likes King of the Hill. so he knows what the big deal is.

I feel like in many respects the bar is a lot lower for a burger joint than a hot dog place. You can make a good burger out of pretty humble ingredients but a good hot dog is lightyears away from just tossing an Oscar Meyer frank on the grill.

My aunt has been collecting owl pellets from her hay barn and dissecting them with her third grade bilingual class for decades. They love it!
Honestly such a relief when you find the one perfect gift that will work for everyone on your holiday list.

Driving into Alpine, getting a Mexican Mocha at Plaine and then walking over to Front Street Books for a bit before driving on was such a great little experience. Always worth the detour.

This hippie lady I used to idly flirt with (pre-Adri) in grad school used to say that 2020 was when the Divine Feminine was going to assert dominance and all men would have to “cowgirl up.” I’m pretty sure that didn’t happen and not sure what it entails but I bet it would have been an improvement.

An under-appreciated thing about Leonard Nimoy is that his photography of naked women is almost the textbook definition “tasteful nudes.” It’s just a really cool exploration of the shapes and contours some human bodies have and not a dirty old man’s thinly disguised peep show.

That OU kids essay about is so bad. God is definitely a HE, manly courage and strength is modeled after his. So is feminine beauty, compassion and submission. He possesses all these traits in their extremes but is absolutely male. If these kids could think they might have some fun with these ideas!
