Whats wild is im thinking about it and in hades 1 this was kind of a solved problem since at least they cycled between the three harpies randomly. Maybe they were worried about being perceived as retreading old ground.

Hecate having a move that you can't really reliably dodge without an animal familiar (or at least, I can't) that slows down the fight and it happens every time is so insane to me. Its not hard to dodge attacks at all as the sheep so youre kind of just killing time until the fight starts again.

Yeah I feel like just today I've sort of shook off where you're at. I played it for like hourrsss but now I'm struggling to be motivated for more than a run or two. Also, particularly sad for me as I love building little hubs and lobbies, the hub stuff just isn't as compelling.

The pacing problems here just make me appreciate 1 more. That game did not feel when you played it like it had this long early access process, it felt cohesive, whereas this one *very* much does feel like "oh I just bought this game and all of its dlc packs at the same time*

I think you can have all of this stuff in here but I really think its a pacing issue. Like I'm 15 hours in, havent even beaten *one* run on either the underworld or the surface and I feel like I'm just drowning in systems that should be more parcelled out. Like gate some things behind a victory lol!

This is not a reference that anyone can appreciate besides board game perverts but it has Frosthaven syndrome to the max. Just piles and piles of systems that all add up to slow down and complicate things in lieu of real added depth. Very prozd "egg delivery" coded. Sad to see!

Remember how the fun of Hades is satisfying combat in a tight space that you have to manage? Here's a giant field that you wander aimlessly around just to figure out where to go. Oh you can get an incantation to make navigation more clear of course. If you have the *resources*, of course

Unlocking the second run path before you've even completed the first one leads to this unsatisfying push and pull where you're just going back and forth farming rare resources for upgrades, and splitting those meager resources between like an unimaginable amount of things.

Around 15 hrs in hades 2 and as someone who loved the first game a lot I think this one is a dud. The story is getting dinged online the most but frankly I could tank that if it was fun to play, but the fact is that the boons are bad, the resource farming is insane and the pace is wayyyyyy off

The rapture as a concept is, frankly, absurd. This guy's been in existence for beyond recorded time, seems like he has a perfect method in place for getting folks up to heaven with him (killing them), now suddenly he's like "alright let's wrap this up". What, does he have a plane to catch?

I did not enjoy my time with Fire Emblem Three Houses at all: a dull, uncommitted game structured terribly and with characters that are either sycophantically chained to your MC or non-entities to kill in later chapters. So of course im excited to play the new one because im SICK lmao
