I'm hardly a beat em up aficianado but the character abilities are so fun. It feels great to be beta ray bill and toss the hammer to just "set-it-and-forget-it" juggle some enemies while you deal with something else.

I don't really have nostalgic attachment to the era of cartoon its aping (xmen and stuff, very before my time) but its charming seeing weird modern comics shit get the saturday morning cartoon treatment. Nicely varied roster, so far the only characters I don't enjoy are Iron Man and Rocket Raccoon

I'm sort of a Morrison skeptic but they are absolutely dead on in Final Crisis to depict the ultimate victory being one last suicidal lashing out before oblivion instead of some thousand year reich. Thats all they were truly ever capable of.

Its the ultimate pop vision of fascism and its fascinating the way it blends american propoganda about the Soviet Union, with Kirbys travels through a bombed out about to surrender Nazi Germany, and also the experience of growing up poor in NYC. Extermination zones ruled over by the greedy and dying

Dream Lovers was on the preliminary list of possible movies to watch! Hoping to get to it sometime as I've heard great things
