Dallas with another close chance. Takaoka denies them as they cut behind the line. Whitecaps are on their back foot as Dallas is playing DESPERATE to tie the series. Vancouver, meanwhile, is playing slow & defensive tonight. Not their usual profile

Vancouver VERY LUCKY to avoid a PK against just now. TV announcers (who I can still barely hear) are saying the ref made the right call but I’m not so sure… that was very fortunate for the ‘Caps.

Amazing play by Takioka in minute 3. Had to leap & beat two Dallas players to catch that ball.

Audio issues still not fixed. What is going on with the microphones? They’ve got the reporters turned lower than the sideline mics

No doubt. The two most taxing sports on the body are clearly soccer (11-14km run per game) and hockey (8-11km skated per game). Basketball has around 4km apparently. A running back in football is at 2km

And a baseball player? SEVENTY METERS of running!! hahahaha

Sports Day in Vancouver starts early with 🇧🇷Brazil v. 🇨🇦Canada at the Women’s U17 World Cup! 8:30PT start. Game is 7 minutes in, breakfast is almost ready (did I make FRESH CHEESE BISCUITS? Absolutely!)

Dark Crystal was a movie I’ve always been a bit curious about. Mostly cuz it was made by the genius Jim Henson. So I decided to hit play today. WHO WAS THIS MADE FOR? A puppet movie with like 3 deaths in the first five minutes and really UGLY puppets? It’s bizarre!

I don’t normally watch baseball. It’s crazy to me that a ball that’s pretty easy to pick up is declared a “lodged ball” like that.

So cool that the Jays are able to wear their powder blue jerseys at home. Love that about baseball… they can choose what to wear, keep a “lucky jersey” for playoffs. Hockey should do that!

Tomorrow should be a rainy Halloween which is weird because Halloween has been dry for like 7 years straight. My kids had gotten so used to dry Halloweens. Time to work for your candy like dad used to, kids
