Looking like the GB Electricity record has been broken this evening. Exceeded 22GW for the first time beating the record from January 2023.

I didn’t leave X because people there had different opinions and ideologies, I left because it stopped being fun. I get on social media to chat with people who think thinking is fun. X stopped being a place where that was true.

Great way of describing enegy
How much power gets used? Here's some rough numbers

City = 1,000 megawatts (MW)
Town = 100 MW
Village = 10 MW
Hamlet = 1 MW
Store = 0.1 MW (100 kilowatts)
House = 10 kW
Microwave = 1 kW (1,000 watts)
Computer = 100 W
Light = 10 W
1 email = 1 W
This post = 0.1 W

Now this place is cooking, maybe worth doing a big old energy thread.
