Devils drop the season opener 6-3 in Carolina.

Very sloppy play throughout. Nice to see the team battle back 3 different times to tie it, but the defense looked bad and Markstrom with a stinker.

Really deflating first game.

The Devils were simply hemmed in way too much in their own zone. Creating very few chances offensively and not getting into any sort of flow.
