The 30-year mortgage rate has been higher than today's rate for most of history, with October 1981 being the most extreme example when the average weekly rate reached a record high of 18.63%. Rates were higher than today's rate throughout the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and parts of the 2000s.

I agree. It hasn't been done and now it's starting to "pile up" so-to-speak, because both Dems and Reps use it as a vote-getting tool.

I still, however, want illegals to go back to wherever they came from and go to the back of the immigration line.

No, it's not. Every President and every Congress in the last 50 years have had the opportunity to decrease the level of illegals in the U.S. just by increasing the resources (agents and courts) to support the case load.

Beats me. I don't think I ever said anything about that. I was just pointing out that, in a lot of places, property tax is not the primary funder of school districts.

Property taxes are typically only 45-50% of funding for school districts. This, of course, varies by State and district. Federal funding typically funds some 8-10% and the rest comes from State coffers.
